Everyone that knew Gemma has something special to say about her, Gemma made everyone she spoke to feel important and special just by giving them a 110% of her time. Gemma was truly committed to everything she took on. She would complete every task asked of her and would do it to perfection. Some people in life struggle with everyday tasks and find it hard to be happy with-in themselves, but Gem loved life and took everything on board and managed it!!! Gemma knew that life was precious so she handled everything with such care and love. Life was a gift to Gemma so she treasured every moment and looked after those that were around her.

Around three years ago Gemma's thoughts on life changed as she became an auntie for the first time. Gemma was like a second mum to her niece, she spent every spare moment with Kelsey being the first to teach her new things in life. This is where Gemma's firm views about young people's education came from. As Gemma believed that if young children were encouraged from an early age to take education seriously this would lead to a better future. When Gemma was just twelve years old she won an award at school. This made Gemma have the determination to work harder in later education. Most people take education for granted but Gemma saw it as a special gift.

Gemma did go on to do better things she recieved a first class honors degree in July. Then in August she received the job offer she had wanted from the age of twelve. Gemma still is far too special to be forgotten, she was a lady that was going places in life. That's why the Gemma Louise Newman Memorial Fund has been set up. Gemma will continue to care and help others!
